Join Our MissionAmkeni is our acronym name standing for Alliance Made in Kyaka to enable New Initiatives for Development. Amkeni Uganda was founded in 2023 with the mission; "promoting the employability, innovations and social enterprise to forcedly displaced youths, vulnerable women and those of surrounding Host communities through skilling, education and financial inclusion services".
Our name "Amkeni" means "Arise" in Swahili, reflecting our commitment to helping communities rise above poverty and inequality.
Over the past 2 years, we've impacted over 500 lives through our various programs focused on education for infants, livelihood programs and vocational training.
Our team consists of local Ugandan professionals and refugees volunteers working together to create sustainable solutions tailored to each community's unique needs.
